Mobile App Help

Your complete guide to using the ScheduleRX mobile app for iOS and Android. Learn how to view schedules, clock in and out, request shift swaps, and manage time off requests.

Getting Started

Navigation Tabs

The app has 5 main sections accessible from the bottom navigation bar:

Viewing Your Schedule

Schedule Views

Weekly View

See your entire week at a glance with all shifts displayed

Daily View

Focus on a single day - swipe left/right to navigate between days

Shift Information

Tap any shift to see detailed information:

  • Shift date and time
  • Location (if multiple locations)
  • Shift status (Not Started, Started, Completed)
  • Manager notes (if any)

Navigation Tips

  • Pull down to refresh and sync latest changes
  • Tap "Today" button to jump to current week
  • Use arrow buttons to navigate between weeks
  • Long-press shifts for quick actions

Clock In & Out

When You Can Clock In

30 minutes before your shift starts, the clock-in button will become available.

Ways to Clock In

From Dashboard

Your upcoming shifts show a "Clock In" button when available

From Schedule

Tap on your shift, then use the "Clock In" button in the detail modal

From Notifications

Use push notifications or emails with direct clock-in links

Location Verification

GPS Verification

If enabled by your manager, you'll need to be at the pharmacy location to clock in.

Tip: Make sure location services are enabled for the ScheduleRX app.

Break Management

Starting a Break

Tap "Start Break" and select type (Regular, Lunch, Emergency, Unpaid)

Ending a Break

Tap "End Break" when ready to return to work

Shift Swaps

Requesting a Shift Swap

  1. Go to your Schedule tab
  2. Long-press the shift you want to swap
  3. Select "Request Swap" from the menu
  4. Choose a colleague from the searchable list
  5. Optionally select a specific shift you want in return
  6. Add a message explaining your request
  7. Tap "Send Request"

Approval Process

  1. You request a swap with a colleague
  2. Your colleague accepts the swap
  3. A manager reviews and approves the swap
  4. The schedule is updated automatically

Time Off Requests

Creating a Time Off Request

  1. Go to the Time Off tab
  2. Tap the plus (+) button
  3. Select your start date and end date
  4. Choose the request type (Vacation, Sick Leave, Personal, etc.)
  5. Add notes explaining your request
  6. Tap "Submit Request"

Request Status

🟡 Pending

Waiting for manager review

🟢 Approved

Your time off has been approved

🔴 Denied

Request was not approved

Troubleshooting

Can't Clock In

  • Check you're within 30 minutes of shift start
  • Enable location services if GPS verification is required
  • Pull down to refresh the app
  • Ensure stable internet connection

Schedule Not Updating

  • Pull down to refresh any screen
  • Check internet connection
  • Close and reopen the app
  • Update to latest app version

Missing Notifications

  • Check notification permissions in phone settings
  • Enable push notifications for ScheduleRX
  • Check Profile tab notification preferences
  • Disable "Do Not Disturb" mode
